Easter Egg Hunting

So our local park has an "Easter Egg Hunt" sponsored by the local "four square" church, which only reminds me of when I was little and my mom telling me the people down the street were "four square" members and spoke in tongues at their meetings. So of course, any mention of 'Four Square" and that's the memory that comes to mind, even if it's not true. Anyways, the kids do the standard "Easter Egg Hunt" and collect eggs full of candy, (not like those big chewy, sugary, egg sized eggs when we were little-but chewy, spongy, peepy Bunny Teeth and other various cavity causing sweets) and have a raffle for a basket. Being that I filled out their raffle tickets I thought for sure we wouldn't win because I checked off the "do not email me info about the church". But, lo and behold, Tessa won a basket. Well, I guess the Lord does work in mysterious ways!!

Anyways, Jared was jumping in the bouncer and came running up to me with a bloody mouth telling me he lost his tooth in the jumper. So we ran like crazy right through a team of basketball players running court with panicked looks on our faces to get to the drinking fountain and rinse out his mouth. Don't ask me how he saved his tooth, but he did. Which is why the picture of him with his newly toothless smile is still a little bloody, ugh. They were also giving away "talking Jesus" dolls that repeat the scriptures. A little eerie and disconcerting, even a little spooky and by the time I was ichatting with Mom, Todd and Lisa - Tessa was showing them her Jesus doll without his robe. Luckily for us he had something on underneath. Otherwise that would really be disturbing. All in all the kids thought it was a great day. So we had two visitors that night. The "Easter Bunny" and the "Tooth Fairy". There was a lot going on with the eggs and the money and the gold fairy dust. Tessa imagined them crossing paths in the middle of the night and high fiving each other.

All I can say is "Wooh", "Never a Dull Moment".
