Instead of me emailing you all my pics and updates, etc. you can click on this website and see what we have been up to. Hopefully it won't be too booorring. But then, life in this househould never is when you have Jared and Tessa around!!! If you know what I mean.

Legoland Lunatics!

Jared wanted to go to where for his 9th Birthday? Legoland!! So he invited 3 of his best friends for a day of fun, food and frills-I mean thrills. First they took it easy with the dino rollercoaster, and then went to driving school where no one crashed and all got drivers licenses. Next off to "Pirate Shores" where they got drenched and soaked with 500 gallons of water and pirate ships with water shooting cannons. But I think they will all agree that "Project X' was their favorite!! Shooting down a roller coaster with their mouths wide open and screaming as loud as they can with their hair sticking straight up in the air, they just had to do it again and again. The final verdict?
"AWESOME"!"

Good night Paris!!

I mean Tessa!!!

Get ready for the cookies!!!!

So Tessa was in Daisy's this year. Which is pre-Brownies. She earned all her petals, but if you ask her what for (respect, caring, etc.) she'll probably say she doesn't remember. She just knows she had fun. Anyways, this is the bridging ceremony where they "cross the bridge" to Brownies. When they cross the bridge the older girl says this little rhyming thing and then they say to the girl "When I look in the mirror I see -(insert your name-which she is supposed to say Tessa) which Tessa says, "myself". Better than some of the girls who said "When I look in the mirror I see, my name". I guess when they were instructed to say "my name" they really did literally. They aren't allowed to sell cookies when they are in Daisy's, but when they get to Brownies, come and get em'. Love those "girl scout chocolate thin mints" and "samoans".
But do I have to be one of those annoying Mom's in front of the supermarket? Do you want some girl scout cookies? AGHHHHHH! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Last Days of School

The kids are excited with anticipation about ending the school year and starting summer break.
Jared did a play with the rest of his class for all the parents. Tessa actually took that picture while I was filming.
Tessa had "pajama day" on the last day of school and is hugging her teacher. I think she'll actually miss school. After all, kindergarten is all about arts and crafts. I just keep telling her, "wait til first grade, then the fun is over!" mwah, hah, hah!
The other picutre is of some of the kids in Tessa's class getting ready for the "water balloon toss". I know they look extremely bored in that picture but I guess they're concentrating on the instructions or just thinking, "hurry up all ready". I was one of the volunteers for face painting, so when the boys asked for "Power Ranger" masks, we did a little improvising. Tessa is in the middle with a green shirt and a BIG RAINBOW across her forehead. Yep, I did that to her. It's only paint, it washes off.
So they are doing swim lessons for a couple weeks. Jared's birthday is coming up and he picked three of his friends to go to "Legoland". Woo hoo!! Picutres will follow of course. Our summer break is only 2 months long so it goes by fast and we gotta do everything before it's gone.

Dad's Day at School

So Johnny gets his "Special Day" too. She made him a "Fathers Day Card" that also had the "fill in the blanks". It said , "My daddy is very special. He is as handsome as a rich guy." Sorry Johnny, I guess you're not rich. If you click on the image you can see what she wrote in her memory book. "My dad is wonderful because he's tall. And he burns me cd's." Now that's definitely different from the old days.
On her memory book page for me she says,"My mom is as pretty as a unicorn" and "My mom is smart! She even knows what 10 times 10 is."
Yep, you never know what is going to come out of Tessa's mouth.
Her classroom won a pizza party from Domino's. She told me she would have to take off all the Domino's. (Because we're vegetarian). I said "Don't you mean pepperoni's?"

You dressed up as what?????

Tessa had been coming home from school and telling my about all the kids dressing up as a nun and they were taking pictures of them. Of course I'm listening to this as I'm doing my usual multi-tasking i.e. dishes, opening up mail, making snacks, etc. So in the back of my head I'm thinking, "Hmmm, did the boys dress up as priests? Why were they taking pictures? Isn't that a little controversial for public school? Whatever". So when Johnny comes home and she's telling him about it, he's asking her things like, "Did you have to take your clothes off? Was everyone doing it? etc." A little more concerned questions here. She finally tells us it's for her "memory book" and a light bulb goes on over our heads. "Oh, did you wear a hat with a tassle on it? Oh, I think that's a graduation outfit". Mystery solved. Tessa isn't going to a be a nun (I think) she just graduated from kindergarten!! Whew!!
