But then, life in this househould never is when you have Jared and Tessa around!!! If you know what I mean.

Jared at Computer Camp

Jared finished his week at computer camp and the final verdict.......Awesome! He loved it. I'm getting him the software so he can continue to work on his games throughout the year, and next year it's on to "extreme gaming" which is 3D.

Now I ask you....where but in L.A. do they teach "duck and cover" at summer camp. I think there's something wrong with that picture. Now great...so there's going to be an earthquake and you're under a table with a computer on it...to what.....squash your little head to cushion the computer so it won't break?

Jared got tickets everyday, and he told me, "Mom, they're not like the ones you get in school for getting in trouble. These are good tickets." So at the end of the week he put them into a lottery basket and won a t-shirt and the grand prize "Robosapien". A walking, talking, dancing, (Yep, Johnny says he even does the "Marcarena") and I'm not sure what else he does...robot. He told me he concentrated really hard when they were drawing the tickets. O.K. So next time I have you picking out lottery tickets for me,... can you just concentrate real hard for me too?

The camp leader took these pics,..as I said...my digital camera isn't working. So I took a picture on the last day with my SLR> Who knows when I'll get those pics back.

Jared told me when he saw his cafeteria photo...that the meal was very satisfying. Can you say carbohydrate?
They even had swimming one day as their "funtime" activities. Can't sit in front of the computer all day. Well you can...but...I'm glad he got out for excersice once in awhile.

All in all, he loved it. Now if they can just get a camp a little closer to me.

Tessa lost her first tooth!!

Tessa lost her first tooth and puts a whole new spin on what she looks like when she is talking.....and talking.....and talking....boy does she talk!! She put it in a little plastic bag and carried it around all day long. At night when she was going to bed she lost it somewhere between the couch and the bed. You see, there was a tiny little hole in that plastic bag so we searched and searched and searched that path for that tiny little tooth. Couldn't find it and poor Tessa was crying. So she wrote a note to the tooth fairy which said "Dear Tooth Fairy, I lost my tooth. I was walking upstairs and lost it". But you know, that tooth fairy came anyway and left money and sprinkled gold fairy dust on her hair and pillow.
We are in the midst of summer. School will start again in 4 weeks. Jared responded with "Why must it end?" My digital camera broke so I may get behind on my blogging.

Jared is going to "Computer tech camp" for one week. When Tessa came with me to pick him up she swore she went to Japan.
She kept saying "I didn't know they had Elephant Bar in Japan, I didn't know they had jackinthebox in Japan" etc. etc. because it is so far from here. Lucky she doesn't have to go as much as me. By my speedometer it's a little over 86 miles round trip and that's twice a day. Lucky me, I have a hybrid!! I can't imagine an SUV. That'd probably be a tankful a day!!
